In New York, he became a regular at the world-famous Comedy Cellar and works at almost every club in the city. He can also be heard as a regular on everybody's favorite new podcast "Are You Garbage," as well as on "We Might Be Drunk," "The Honeydew," "Doug Loves Movies," "Never Not Funny," "All Fantasy Everything," and more. Tom also hosted the Comedy Central podcast, "Stand Up with Tom Thakkar," and the popular comedy/music podcast "Stand By Your Band," with Tommy McNamara.

On top of stand-up and podcasting, Tom acted in the award-winning short film "Sofa So Good" and wrote and appeared on the SyFy comedy sketch show, "The Movie Show."
